Hi

Barrie here, I missed a week and am a day late this week, sorry if you looked before.

I am brewing Lammastide & Maidens Cross at the moment.  However, the big news is that our beers went down very well at The West Cheshire Brewers Beer Festival.  We put on four beers and they all sold out.  I think there will be a few new pubs selling your favourite beer soon!

Frodsham 800 is doing well & I have had some nice comments about the logo.  Nige will be seling the pump clips and T Shirts on-line soon, both in the shop and on eBay (Jeanjeaneez).  Link:http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/Jeanjeaneez_Breweriana_W0QQ_fsubZ776741017QQ_sidZ48187627QQ_trksidZp4634Q2ec0Q2em322

Oh well until next time

Enjoy your beer, especially ours!

Hi Everyone

Are you enjoying the summer.  Schoolz Out!  And that is our Ale of the Month for July!

I am sure that there are a fair few teachers that a pleased the holidays have arrived, why not proclaim it with one of our great Schoolz Out T Shirts.

We should all drink a toast this week to Frodsham College which is closing at the end of this term.  I understand it opened in 1941.  I am sure there are many reading this with fond memories (or otherwise!) who mourn it's passing.

Oh well back to work.....

Until next week.....enjoy your beer.....especially ours...and remember "Schoolz Out" for the summer....

Hi

Barrie here.  Did you miss me!

The weather seems to get hotter and hotter, but yours truly keeps brewing to help you all keep cool.

The cricket season is upon us and two local clubs Kingsley and Alavanley are now regulars for our beer.  Give them a visit if you are in the area.

I have mentioned before that you will soon be getting two breweries for the price of one and Frodsham Brewery's launch has now taken off.  The on-line shop will continue to be known as "Stationhouse" for the immediate future, and we will also be brewing beers under that name however, to reflect our local identity "Frodsham Brewery" will now be our main trading name.

Nige has started spreading the word outside the Cheshire boundry and a trial of promotional leaflets for the brewery are currently being distributed in Cornwall!  He has contacts in Exeter, Sheffield and Northampton as well.  Leaflets will also be given out at a Happy Cats concert in Teeside in July .  We march on Europe next year!!!

Until next week.....enjoy your beer....especially ours

Hi Everyone

Barrie here.

Big news is you now have two breweries for the price of one.  The Frodsham Brewery and Stationhouse Brewery.  It does not change the quality of our beers, but reflects our roots!  Watch out for Frodsham Brewery logos!  The shop website will remain as it is, but will eventually also sell Frodsham Brewery beers.

I have been busy brewing Buzzin, 1st Lite and Splash this week.  The latter is our Ale of the Month.

The Pub of the Month has been a little late but will change to the Crown Inn Stockport today.

This blog now takes a break for two weeks, see you then!

Enjoy your beer, especially ours.

Barrie

Hi

Barrie here.

The sun is out and our Ale of the Month is perfect for this type of weather - SPLASH!  Why not buy a T-Shirt to go with it.  All are discounted.

I am workining hard, yes I DO work hard, preparing for Father's Day.  Why not check out our merchandise section for a present for Dad.

Nige has changed the website design slightly;use the contact link to let him know what you think.

No football for awhile, don't like the close season!  Something missing from my life!  Will just have to go fishing or to a pub that sells Stationhouse Brewery Ales!!!

Lady Heyes is busy, the sun brings people out.  We have chairs outside the brewery.  Feel free to stop by and try a free sample.

Pub of the Month will be back shortly............

Until next time....enjoy your ale....especially ours......

Hi

I am not going to have time to do a Blog next week, really busy at the moment.  So just a short plug for some friends of our who are holding a beer festival, including several of our beers: The Crown Inn Stockport.

It is being held on 6th June.

Back a week on Monday as normal.

Take Care & enjoy you beer.....especially ours.

Hi

How are you all doing.

Love Frodsham 800 ale is flying off the shelves and don't forget it is on special offer as our "Ale of the Month" by mail order.   I am currently brewing Lammastide and we have Mynzamild on the pumps in the shop.

It is an awful   day in Cheshire today, raining heavily.   Where is summer!

I am not mentioning football in this weeks blog'!

It will soon be time to change the "Pub of the Month" again.   June will see our third pub.   The year is flying by.

Enjoy you ale......especially ours

Barrie

Hi Folks

I know you have been checking for this all day, so I will not make you wait any longer!

Hope you are all fit and well.

I have been brewing Buzzin' and 1st Lite over the last week or so, there is plenty available from the shop and on-line.

Over the weekend I got a terrific response from the cusomers of a local Garden Centre (Bents).   They stock our beer in the shop and I was there giving out free samples.

There is also great news for all who wish to learn about brewing.   Yours truly will be running a short course (about 2/3 hours) at the brewery.   Email enquire@stationhousebrewery.co.uk for details.   Places are limited so hurry!!

We also have a range of stickers available in the shop for the majority of our beers.

Not giving up on the title yet by the way, United could still slip up!!!   Nige turned up at the brewery in   a United top on Sunday, luckily I was out at Bents!!

Enjoy your beer......especially ours

Hi

Barrie here, I must be getting enthusiastic as my blog is a day early again.

I have been inspired by the Frodsham Beer Festival.  What a great event it has been.  Hope you liked our Frodsham 800, it is one of our Ales of the Month for May, check out our special offer!

Thank you to Roy at the festival, if he is reading this, for helping Nige out with his leaflets.  It meant he could get inside and try some of the beers, one of which was the 8% Dogma!

Liverpool won as well to keep on United's heels, great for me all round this weekend really.

There have also been a lot of people in the shop at Lady Heys, I always like to meet people and talk beer (and sometimes football!).

Our second "Pub of the Month" is the Kings Arms in Salford.  It is a great pub, which offers a warm welcome to customers old and new on a regular basis......and it has our beer on for the whole of May!

Enjoy your ale.......especially ours!

Barrie

Hi

Barrie here.  Sorry if you looked yesterday for my blog, was very busy!  Hence this weeks will be a little shorter than usual.

The weather has been fantastic here in Frodsham and as I look out through the brewery door the Cheshire countryside looks great.

For those readers from far afield, Cheshire really is a nice place to visit.  They call the flat rolling countryside the "Cheshire Plains".  Chester is 10 miles from our base with all it's Roman history.  You can walk right around the city walls.  There are some great pubs there too!

Talking of beer, "Splash" is a great summer beer, ideal for BBQs.

Anyway must go......

Enjoy you beer.......especially ours...

Blog back to Monday next week.

Barrie

Hi

Monday came around quickly this week, and Easter Monday at that.

Hope you all are having/had a great Easter.

Have you had any trouble sleeping.....then buy lots of my beer.   Wintafest' would be a good one!   If that solution doesn't grab you!   Why not try a "Hop Pillow"!     This solution was recently featured on the television and tests have proved it really does work.   We have them available in the shop at Lady Heys and they will be coming soon to mail order.

Talking of mail order,   I recently aquired some vintage beer bottles and they will be available from Nige by mail order under "memrobelia" shortly.   I have already sold 6/7 on eBay.

If you live in Cheshire and use Cowards the butcher you may have had their meat pies.   Did you know one of our beers is one of the ingredients now!

If you fancy a free sample of beer we have Splash and Blush on in the shop.   Unfortunately free samples are not available by mail order even if you pay the post and packing.

Oh well until next Monday.....enjoy you beer.....especially ours!

Barrie

Hi Everyone

A week has gone by since we launched the new site and orders have been coming in steadily.

I am working on a special St George's Day beer: Slain.   It will only be available direct from the shop.   Although the Pump Clip will be listed on mail order shortly.

Likewise the Love Frodsham Ale 800, which is again a limited addition beer only available from the shop.

I attended the dinner/dance at Mersey View with Hazel to celebrate Frodsham's 800th anniversary.   It was   a wonderful occasion with lot's of local businesses in attendance.

I promised last week to tell you about beer and mustard; well recently the suppliers of a large supermarket chain asked me to produce 3 Score for inclusion in their mustard.   I wasn't even sure that beer went into mustard!   But there you go.   So don't eat mustard and drive!   The mustard orders are certainly keeping me busy.

Have you checked out our Ale of the Month?   Nige attended The Prisoner Appreciation Society Convention last week and their was a lot of interest in Not Just A Number and attendant merchandise.   So buy while you can!   Once the bottled version  is gone for another year, it is gone.

By the way, I am most definitely an Equal Opportunities Employer!   I said last week that Nige supports Manchester United.   I have not sacked him because they have just gone top.   If Liverpool win the league perhaps I should make him sell a "Champions" beer!!!

Until next week.   Enjoy your Real Ale, especially ours!

Cheers

Barrie

Well my first blog.  Welcome to the new website.  Things have been moving at a pace recently.  We now have a mail order service for both ales and merchandise.  The latter can be shipped worldwide, ales in the UK only.

Nige Hazlehurst has joined the team as our mail order agent and webmaster.  Nige was a civil servant for 34 years before joing the brewery. However, he has always been a real ale enthusiast and his wife tells me that he will walk out of pubs if they only have kegged bitter, so he should fit in well, even if he does support FC United of Manchester/Manchester United!

The website will have a "pub of the month" most months and they will be promoting our beer during that period.

I am currenly brewing I am Not A Number.  The Six of One Prisoner Appreciation Society Convention was held in Portmerion at the end of March;  the bottled version has been produced to coincide with the event.  It is our first mail order ale of the month, check the ale of the month page for special offers on not only the beer, but t-shirts and pump clips.  Get "I am Not A Number" while you can, it is an lovely "individual" bitter, bright light and refreshing.  It has "2" hops in it and the only thing that is a number is the alc (3.9%- I should have made it "6"!)  We will not be producing this ale in bottles again until the next convention.

Visit the shop if you can at Lady Hayes, we are open 12 noon until 4 seven days a week.  Paula, Hazel and myself will give you a warm welcome.

Next week I will tell you about a sauce which will contain our beer!!

Until next week, as they say in The Prisoner......be seeing you

Enjoy your ale.......especially ours!!
